Kelly McAndrew (Cat on a Hot Tin Roof) and more are set to appear in Beth Henley’s Abundance at Theatre Row’s Beckett Theatre. Directed by Jenn Thompson, the TACT and Actor’s Company Theatre's off-Broadway production will begin previews on February 17 and run through March 28. Opening night is set for March 1.
The cast will also include Tracy Middendorf (Ah, Wilderness!), Jeff Talbott (Sly Fox), Todd Lawson (Summer and Smoke) and Ted Koch (The Pillowman).
Abundance tells the tall tale of Bess and Macon, two mail-order brides who are lured to the plains of Wyoming by the promise of new beginnings. As wild and unpredictable as the untamed West itself, the show spans a 25-year journey, unearthing along the way the dark underside of American mythology and the unbreakable bonds of female friendship.
The production will feature sets by Wilson Chin, with costumes by Tracy Christensen, lights by Philip Rosenberg and sound by Toby Algya.
Abundance last played off-Broadway in 1990 at the Manhattan Theatre Club.
